Default Problem emailing images

I use Windows xp and Outlook Express. When i send or forward images via
Email. the images are sent OK but with the images is also attached the
images contained in the Temporary Internet Folder. I have tried
deleting cookies, history and clearing out the Temp folder, but the
problem persists. I am not a computer whiz so please be kind if i am
asking a dumb question. I would really appreciate some help (Help for
dummies format)
Thanks

If these attached files were downloaded from e-
mails you received, they may be in a subfolder of your Internet temporary
files. The folder
name will start with OLK and there will be a number after OLK. The easiest
way to find this folder it is to search for OLK* and once found open it and
see if the
files are there.
Click on Start and Search and then
All files and folders
More advanced options
Search system folders
Search hidden files and folders
Search subfolders
In the top textbox "All or part..." type in exactly this:
OLK*
and click search
This search will take a while but should return all
folders starting with
OLK.
Open the OLK folders once found (probably you will find only one), change
the view to Thumbnails and see
if the unwanted
files are there. If so, just select them and delete. They
will go to your Recycle bin, delete them from there also. Or, hold the Shift
key down when you delete them in order to prevent them from going into your
Recycle bin.

Just click on Start/Run and type in %temp%
Whe the temp window comes up delete everything in it. That might do the
trick.

Quilly

Thanks Yves. Really appreciate your comments. Tried what you suggested
but the search did not come up with OLK files.
I also tried cleaning out the Temp internet file. When i try to send a
pic straight after, the image that is being emailed also sends the
contents of the folder that the pic was saved in. As you know the temp
internet file builds quickly, so that next time a pic is sent, there is
likely to be several hundred images attached, some from the folder and
some from the Temp internet file.
Will keep trying..
Thanks again
Mitch

Hi Quilly
Thanks for your suggestion. I tried this but there is still a problem
sending pics. If the Temp file is empty, other photos that are stored
in the same folder are attached to the image being sent. Never quite
sure what is being emailed (Other than the intended pic)
But thanks again... will try anything !
Mitch

=================================
No it does not.

If you view the attached file by opening from
your saved copy of the message you can
scroll through the contents of your temporary
internet folder but the recipient of the message
cannot. The recipient will only receive the files
you attached to the message.

Thanks John...But the recipient does receive all the attachments! That
is how the problem was noticed in the first place. The recipient
received 404 images!
Since then i have tried sending via email to myself to see what is
being received. Even after clearing the Temp file, there are less
images being attachec, but the longer the tgap between deleting the
temp files, the more the attached images increase.
Thanks anyway for the input.
Mitch

When you send an e-mail message....
either to yourself or someone else...you
can see exactly what is attached in the
Attachment field on the message window.

If you e-mail yourself and view the attachment
by opening it from the message you can
see images in your TIF folder but that does
not mean the files are all attached to the
message.
