windows picture and fax viewer

Windows picture and fax viewer does not work. If i dbl click on a photo
nothing happens and when i open "My Pictures" i dont get the thumbnail images
just the default sunset image. please help as this is really anoying.

Try this, maybe it will restore the option:

go to...Start / Run and type:

"REGSVR32 SHIMGVW.DLL"
(without the quotes)(Yes, there's
a space between 2 and S)

Click...OK.

A dialog box should report the following:

"DllRegisterServer in SHIMGVW.DLL succeeded"
