I have the same response when I try to save my pictures to a CD

"there is no disc in the drive. Please insert a writable CD".

I have a CD in. I have read the articles you referred Norm to and I went to
"My Computer" and then to "Devices with removable storage", "CD-RW Drive
E","Properties and Recordings".

Enable CD recording on this drive has a check mark.

Help!

What else can I try?


Local Disc (C is the only one in the drop down

and automatically eject the CD after writing is checked.

Try using the software that came
with your burner. Nero? Roxio?

I have the same problem in this thread and nothing has worked.

I do not have any burning software, that I know of, such as roxio or
Nero...why can't I use XP's software to backup my pictures to CD? I
shouldn't have to spend $80+ on this software to backup files should I?
That's all I want to do, I do not want to burn CD's...just put my pictures on
a CD-RW or CD-R...I would be happy with either one.

I went to my Real Player to see if I could burn a CD there but it said it
could not locate any CD burner on my computer...don't know if that helps.

Any response would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.
