Default size of image

after downloading my pictures, when i view them in fax viewer they are fine
but if i go to edit it shows them in a huge format that i cant possibly edit,
what do i need to do to make them smaller

You need to change the zoom in what ever program you are talking about.

Keep trying. ;-)

Every editor includes the capability to view a picture at almost any
reasonable zoom, both larger and smaller than the "native" resolution.
Read the "Help" file or documentation until you find it.

One thing you *definitely* do not want to do is resample the picture
to a smaller pixel resolution, since that discards information that
you have paid dearly for when you bought your camera.

If you want a smaller image for email or the web, resampling is fine,
but save the result under a new name so you still have the high
resolution image.
