Pictures dissapeared

I need help...I was moving my pictures onto a CD and when it was done moving
the pictures onto the CD there was nothing on the CD and nothing on my hard
drive...does anyone know how I can go about getting these pictures back...all
I did was click on move file and then the CD drive and after I chose all the
pictures that I wanted moved onto the cd I clicked on the little balloon that
says you have files waiting to be written to CD and then I clicked on write
these files to CD and now they are all gone...if anyone knows how to find
them please let me know...
