windows XP Limited User fails to print
I have a home network of 3 computers. The computer in question has an HP
Deskjet 940c connected locally via the LPT1 port. The Admin user can print but the limited user on this PC fails to generate the printout even though the software (Microsoft Outlook) sends the e mail to the print spooler. From reading various knowledge base articles it seems a quick fix is to designate the limited user account as an admin user account but I would like to know if there is a more logical fix for this problem as there are reasons why I want to have only one Admin User on the computer. |
Re: windows XP Limited User fails to print
If you have Symantec/Norton products on the PC in question, go into the
Control Panel, click on Printers & Faxes, right click on the printer and select Properties. In the Advanted tab, set it to print direct to printer, rather than use the print spooler. -- Cari (MS-MVP) Printing & Imaging "Al Maher" <ddd4(pnospam)@hotmail.co.uk> wrote in message news:285A245B-E53B-4E71-849F-63E34843CA10@microsoft.com... >I have a home network of 3 computers.
