Hi
When my users try to add a printer using the "connect to a printer on the internet or on a home or office network" in the add printer wizard this part is greyed out. Yet when an administrator does the same they are able to add the printer. Does anyone know how to allow a user without admin rights to add the printer using this method? Could it be done using a GPO? Thanks M |

Adding a printer requires access to system files. Users do NOT have
access to system files. -- XP-WNP Today is the first day of the rest of your life. If this post was helpful, please rate it. Thatnks for the input, but I know about admin rights etc, it is just strange
that they can add a printer using the \\server\printer method in the wizard, but the http:// method is greyed out. Is giving them admin rights the only way?
