First I tried to get fax services by adding the fax service component in the
control panel/add programs/add windows component. It couldn't find several files in C:j386 and asked me to insert a SP2 CD, which I don't have. On the second time through I clicked that it should set up the services without those files. (There were about 6) Then I found "Set up Faxing" under Printers and faxes. It appeared to set something up. I even got a message under Start/all programs indicating a new program had been installed. Nonetheless, there is no fax option under my printers, nor under assessories/communications/fax. I just want to send an occasional file via fax modem. I could do this ten years ago without a hassle. Can you help? |
