Default Replacing Printer

My Epson C60 has constant print head clogging problems with color since I do
not print color documents very often (or even black and white). With the
price of printers coming down to the price of 2 new cartridges I am thinking
of replacing mine. Can someone recommend a cheap, dependable printer that
will not clog if left alone for over a week. I am not interested in printing
high quality color photos.

Dennis,

There are tons of printers out there from which to choose. You didn't
specify your requirements in much detail but I gather you don't need the
HP all-in-one printers Carey recommended. Sounds like major overkill.
It's obvious that our buddy Carey is on HP's commission plan. (Smile.)

Everyone has an opinion. In this case, the only opinion that matters is
yours. You're paying the bills. Walk down the aisles of CompUSA
or BestBuys and examine the offerings. I did exactly that tonight at
CompUSA and saw no less that sixty printers! An amazing array of
printers.

You can't buy an HP printer for the price of two ink cartridges, that's
for sure. When it comes to clogging, all printers are susceptible. Epson
more so than other brands because of its finer nozzles.

When you're not going to use your printer for an extended period, turn it
off. It's best to print a small but colorful image ever 2-4 days to keep the
ink circulating and print heads functioning.

And that's my opinion. Good luck!

Uncle Joe
