I'm considering getting a multifunction printer with fax capability. I
like the Canon Pixma MP780. What I want is to be able to receive faxes with my computer turned off and have the faxes stored in memory so I can print or view them later. And I don't want the machine making any beeping noises or anything when the faxes come in. Does anyone know if this machine will do that? |

Go to the store like BestBuy or Circuit City where you are planning
to purchase it and get them to show you the features. Also a brochure of what it can or cannot do. You can check the Canon website but their info is very limited, but you can call/contact their tech support for answers. One thing to remember is, Fax can be used only with dial-up, not with DSL or Cable. Some ISPs have filters you can install. Most stand-alone fax machines can be used without the PC being turned on. -- XP - WNP Today is the first day of the rest of your life.
