In fax console items sent, unable to delete message shown. When try, popup
says: "the operation cannot be completed" in the dtails: "fax messages could not be found (7009,2200003020)" The message sent remains in the "item sent" showing start time (date) pages, & size. Also, little green circle with a ck. mark is shown. Sure would like to delete this item. Thanks for any help. Don |

Do you have the appropriate permissions to delete faxes? Please check this
using the Security tab of the Fax printer's properties. Though it is NOT ADVISABLE UNLESS IT IS NECESSARY, you could also delete the fax messages from %AllUsersProfile%\Application Data\Microsoft\Windows NT\MSFax\Inbox. However, please note that you will not be able to select which messages to delete as they are stored using unique number-based filenames. Also you will not be able to identify your faxes as opposed to other users' faxes. Hal:
I'm the only user. I checked but could not find a Security tab in the Fax printers properties to check the authority you suggested. I also tried to access the file you mentioned through search, but nothing came from that. Appreciate your input thoe. Anyother suggestions appreciated also. Note: I'm a little slow on understanding this computer stuff but I keep on trying... don "Hal Hostetler [MVP-P/I]" wrote: > Do you have the appropriate permissions to delete faxes?
