Default Printer settings

When I try to change my printer settings so that I can share my printer on a
network I get the following mesage:
"Printer settings could not be saved. Operation could not be completed."

Any ideas about what I should do?

Sounds like you're trying to change the settings when not logged on as an
Administrator.

in a cmd window type
net share

Verify that you do not already have a file share using the same name.

The error message you are seeing is the generic error displayed when
something fails but the UI does not get the message on what failed.
