Default Multiple copies of shared printer

I would like to have multiple copies of a shared printer defined. I want one
defined for each paper tray to handle pre-printed forms and plain paper. My
software is set up to print the appropriate output to the required trays.
This works out fine with my Win98 clients; I would add another copy of the
printer, rename it and set up the default paper tray for that printer. XP Pro
will not allow me to do it that way-I'm left with only a single printer. Can
this be done?

It should be possible, depending on the printer driver. We have a Lanier
LD032c color printer and I've been able to set it up as two printers in
Windows XP Pro, one that defaults to color and the other that defaults to
B&W; connection to the printer is via Standard TCP/IP Port.
