How to locate a network printer

I woud like to know if there is a way to locate a network printer on a
large network. I have the printer name and the ip address. I can
connect to the printer, but I have no other way to know where it is.
If there was a way to figure out which port on the switch it is
connected to by the ip address that would work also. I have a map of
there the drops are located.

Does your switch have management software? Such software is usually able to
give you the MAC addresses of the devices connected to it.
