I am using an internal FAXmodcem (CREATIVE LABS Modem Blaster V.92 PCI DI5631) on my XPpro computer, at least for receiving FAXes. IRFANVIEW is my default viewer for .TIF files. Problem is that I am confused about what is needed to view the received FAXes. A multiple page received FAX file is now in the XP Fax INBOX folder, but I am struggling to view the file. [1] What program should I use to view the received FAX from the MS Fax Console screen ? IRFANVIEW only presents the Cover page of the received MS Fax file, nothing else. However, the title bar and status bar in Irfanview changes when I click on right arrow to advance to the next file in the active folder. I chose to place a copy of the received into a folder on my C: drive. When pointing to the .tif file from WinExplorer I am able to right click and use ONLY the Windows Picture and Fax Viewer under the Open With option. [2] Is that the only possible viewer? [3] Is there a way to setup Irfanview as the functional viewer of the FAX file that is listed as within the MS Fax INBOX folder ? Thanks. de ~ Vince ~ |

No. You must use Windows Picture and Fax Viewer if you want to view faxes in
Windows XP Fax. -- Russ Valentine [MVP-Outlook] "Vince" <NoSPAM2THISHAM@yahoo.com> wrote in message news:f7viq1pitac7aor08fchvn69chk32mlnnf@4ax.com... > > I am using an internal FAXmodcem (CREATIVE LABS Modem Blaster V.92 PCI > DI5631) on my XPpro computer, at least for receiving FAXes. It might not be installed with the default setup for Microsoft Office. It shows thumbnails of the pages to the left the way Acrobat does for certain files. It is in the Microsoft Office Tools shortcut folder, if installed. -- Earl F. Parrish |
