If I'm in the wrong group, please re-direct me. I don't cross-post to a
dozen groups fishing.... I have two desktop computers and a laptop in the house. The main desktop is wired to everything (printer, router), and the other two are networked via the wireless router (Linksys). All three computers go online without a problem. They all use XP, but the 2nd desktop is XP Pro. That's the machine I can't link up with the printer. When I set everything up and hit "Browse for printer", it's not found. I called my local computer guy, we step-by-stepped it a couple of times and he couldn't figure it out over the phone. He did say that the XP Pro might be the "problem", something about "permissions" not being set properly. If anyone here is a whiz at this, please give it a stab. Thank you. Dean |
