I'm trying to install my Lexmark x85 printer/scanner/fax and I keep getting
asked during the installation (after pluging in the usb cable) for the file 'usbscan.sys' from the Windows XP Service Pack 2 CD. My computer came with Windows XP and the automatic updates gave me the SP2. I've tried to uninstall and reinstall the drivers for the printer, reboot the system, and re-install the SP2 from the Windows Automatic updates, but it won't let me. Is there a way to just get this one file online? Or do I have to some how get the CD and try to extract the file from there? Any help is appreciated! |
