You're logged on as an Administrator? -- Cari (MS-MVP) Printing & Imaging http://www.coribright.com/windows "oldetech" <oldetech@discussions.microsoft.com> wrote in message news:F9D4971A-B562-448C-8C3E-422177B2A68B@microsoft.com... > Re: Xerox Docuprint P8 printer: Installed XP-compatible parallel to USB > cable. I'd try setting the parallel port as "Normal", reboot your pc, press Del (or
F2) key when the advice "press <del> to enter setup" appears, go into advanced peripherals configuration, choose parallel port and set it as "Normal" or "Spp", save changes and reboot. If it doesn't work you should try the printer on a different pc to be sure there isn't an hardware failure. -- XP - WNP Today is the first day of the rest of your life.
