Default Fax Console- Date in Banner

Hello all and happy new year,

I successfully sent a couple of faxes today (3 January) & I noticed that the
date in the banner at the top of the fax is in the format 1/3/2006.

I understand that in the USA this date format means January 3, 2006, but
where I am, in Australia, it reads as 1 March 2006.

Is there any way to change the date format in fax console? All my other
applications including WinXP & Office are set to the format dd/mm/yyyy.

A minor problem perhaps, but I love computer consistancy.

Thanks

A unique situation indeed. My question would be, what would it read
when the date gets to 1/13/2006? In the USA it would be January 13, 2006,
but what would it be in Australia? 1 Octember, 2006? Just curious.

Hello Byte,

exactly my point, as outside the US & some other countries(?) it is confusing.

So do you know how to change it? :-)

Thanks

Look in this area: Start>Control Panel>Date, Time, Language, etc.>
Change the Date format. Try different settings to see if they work.
You still didn't answer my question in basic response!

Thanks for the suggestion Byte.

Win XP is already set to dd/mm/yyyy date format, but I tried a change anyway
- made no difference to fax console banner.

You probably already know the answer to your question - when the date gets
to 1/13/2006 in USA it has already been 13/1/2006 for several hours in Oz.
