Whenever I run the ThinkVantage Rescue & Recovery backup tool (for Thinkpads),
I've gotten the following error from the utility: -- r2r.exe - Application Error The instruction at "0x037dc601" referenced memory at "0x00000000". The memory could not be "read". Click on OK to terminate the program. -- If I stop the spooler service, this error does not occur. I also have another Thinkpad where this does not occur running the backup tool. I am at a loss to figure out how the spooler subsystems are different, since both Thinkpads have essentially the same WinXP Pro software. Any suggestions? -- Jeffrey Stevens gpg --keyserver pgp.mit.edu --recv-keys D2E5A4E8 Key fingerprint: 1C86 8717 E485 FA4D B9EF 96E2 A1AC 4B00 D2E5 A4E8 |

deleting the printers does not delete the drivers. Do any of the once
installed printers have a ink monitor of some other hooks to the spooler? Printers folder , File , Server Properties, Drivers will show you the drivers installed If you had a Canon, HP, Epson, Lexmark setup program to install the driver, make sure you run the uninstall application for the driver -- Alan Morris Windows Printing Team Search the Microsoft Knowledge Base here: http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=fh;[ln];kbhowto This posting is provided "AS IS" with no warranties, and confers no rights.
