Default anti keylogger sftwre

Anyone know of reliable, free anti Key Logger software?

Am afraid to download one from an unknown site as it might really be spyware
or a keylogger in disguise, just can't trust anyone these days it seems.

tks all

Please explain what you mean by "anti Key Logger software". Tell us what
you actually want to do - protect your computer from having key logging
software installed on it? Check to see if your computer already *has*
key logging software installed? Install a key logger yourself?

I want to protect myself from having a Key Logger installed on my PC. I use
Lavasoft AdAware weekly, AVG and use XP HOmeEdition with IE 6.0 and FireFox
on occasion.

tks so much

The following Multi AV Scanning Tool will remove Keylogging Trojans. However, to prevent
their insertion into your PC, you will need a Anti Virus package installed and running "On
Access" for prevention.

Kaspersky and NOD32 are suggested.

Download MULTI_AV.EXE from the URL --
http://www.ik-cs.com/programs/virtools/Multi_AV.exe

To use this utility, perform the following...
Execute; Multi_AV.exe { Note: You must use the default folder C:\AV-CLS }
Choose; Unzip
Choose; Close

Execute; C:\AV-CLS\StartMenu.BAT
{ or Double-click on 'Start Menu' in C:\AV-CLS }

NOTE: You may have to disable your software FireWall or allow WGET.EXE to go through your
FireWall to allow it to download the needed AV vendor related files.

C:\AV-CLS\StartMenu.BAT -- { or Double-click on 'Start Menu' in C:\AV-CLS}
This will bring up the initial menu of choices and should be executed in Normal Mode.
This way all the components can be downloaded from each AV vendor's web site.
The choices are; Sophos, Trend, McAfee, Kaspersky, Exit this menu and Reboot the PC.

You can choose to go to each menu item and just download the needed files or you can
download the files and perform a scan in Normal Mode. Once you have downloaded the files
needed for each scanner you want to use, you should reboot the PC into Safe Mode [F8 key
during boot] and re-run the menu again and choose which scanner you want to run in Safe
Mode. It is suggested to run the scanners in both Safe Mode and Normal Mode.

When the menu is displayed hitting 'H' or 'h' will bring up a more comprehensive PDF help
file. http://www.ik-cs.com/multi-av.htm

AVG is the "only" one that handles the prevention and removal of Keylogging Trojans but it
is only OK and not the best software.

See my reply in the thread...

SnoopFree. Unlike *scanners* that will detect a pest AFTER it got into your
system and requires signatures or behavioral heuristic rules to detect the
malware, SnoopFree intervenes and identifies what is trying to spy (so,
yeah, it also detects AFTER the infection but it intervenes instead of tries
to detect). Prevx (Home edition is free) and ProcessGuard are also
intervening security tools rather than monitors, like MS Antispyware,
WinPatrol, Ad-Aware, Spybot, etc.

I've only just started using SnoopFree so I can't relate any experiences
with it yet. I'm still in my trialing stage with it.
