Hello, I'm running WinXP Home SP2 on a Sony Vaio VGN S360. I am the only
user of this machine and I have my login password protected. I have the computer set to prompt for password on resume from screen saver, hibernation and standby. When I boot up, my login works just fine; however, my password fails to log me in on resume from screen saver, standby or hibernation. These are set to use my primary login password; I'm sure it's being typed correctly, the caps lock is not on. I cannot find anything about this from Sony or Microsoft including technet. Can anyone help me solve this issue?? Thanks! |

I have never heard of that. What I would try is to disable password
protection for those three items and disable standyby and hibernation. Reboot the computer, reset your password, enable those items again and see what happens. Also use Event Viewer via Computer Management to see if anything related is reported in the system/application/security logs that may provide a clue. --- Steve "PC Support Works" <PCSupportWorks@discussions.microsoft.com> wrote in message news:F53B30E9-AAD3-45DC-BDB9-0AB975FDAF6A@microsoft.com... > Hello, I'm running WinXP Home SP2 on a Sony Vaio VGN S360.
