I have my tower and laptop networked...and everytime im on the tower and try
to connect to the laptop it asks for a password for /Mobile/Guest...But i do
not know the password, how do i change it or figure out my password?

Set up a user on the laptop with the same username and password used to log
onto the tower. Grant this user permission to access the shared resource.

It doesnt let me choose the username though. I defaults to /Mobile/Guest and
i cant change it...

Where/how are you doing this? What exact steps are you taking and at what
point does what happen?

i go to network places and clickl on view workgroup computers and then click
on the mobile computer and it goes to the password screen.

On the laptop go to control panel - user accounts and click "add". Follow
the wizard to set up a user using the same username and password you use to
loc on to the tower.

On the laptop find the folder you are sharing or want to share and right
click on it and select sharing and security. Make sure it is shared. Click
on the permissions button - add - then type in the username you just set up.
Select the security tab - add then type in the username you just set up. If
you click "check names" and the name gets underlined it means the computer
recognizes that account.

Go to the tower, log on using the same username and password as the one you
set up on the laptop, go to my network places - laptop - shared folder.
