Default DVD/CD-R Combo drive always on.

Hello to everyone.

I have an HP Laptop and the last couple of days the light or led of my
DVD/CD-R drive is always flashing, until i put any cd or dvd the light goes
off, but if the drive is empty the led flash again.

Anyone have any idea

Thanks

Turn off your computer.
Turn on your computer.
Do not let Windows begin booting - go directly into the System BIOS. (DEL,
F1, F2 - whatever key you have to press.)

Watch your drive - is it doing it even then?
If so - it's not a Windows problem - replace the drive.
