I have multiple users on a PC. One of the users is having troubles
running software because some of the files needed are "protected". I looked at the permissions for the users and under the column "Inherited from" the only one having a problem says, "parent object". All of the rest (that work) say "G:\", which is the drive the needed files are located. I need to know how to change the one user so it is like all the others. Please help |

Grant the user the extra explicit allow permissions he needs which you can
do even if he has inherited permissions. You can also go into the advanced page of properties/security and uncheck "inherit permissions from parent" at which time you will be asked to remove or copy current permissions and you can then configure explicit permissions. --- Steve "Fried" <jason_cusack@rosenau.org> wrote in message news:1131053851.263056.325020@g49g2000cwa.googlegr oups.com... >I have multiple users on a PC.
