Don't forget to include yourself and Administrator. Then set the permissions on the folder accordingly. Malke -- Elephant Boy Computers www.elephantboycomputers.com "Don't Panic!" Also, some applications allow the user to password-protect their specific data files. Usually when I set up the sharing there's also "Security" Tab menu, where I could setup permission. But I don't have it on my PC... -- tenzan |

Oh my God! I don't remember what I exactly did. But I did something wrong in the Security tab, that I became unable to enter the folder (from the computer where the folder is) I wanted to make it accessible for certian people. I was popped out with warning that only owner can do sharing. Then I entered the system as administrator and make it accessible locally but still can't enter the folders and files are in. Does it mean that the owner of the folders and the files is different from one who created the top folder? Please help - how can I enter the folder and open the files as before. :-( Thanks in advance. Askar -- tenzan |

Administrators can always take ownership of a folder which then allows them
to give themselves permission. See the link below on how to do that and be sure to select the option to replace owner on subcontainers and bjects. --- Steve http://support.microsoft.com/default...b;en-us;308421 "tenzan" <tenzan.1ylg3m@pcbanter.net> wrote in message news:tenzan.1ylg3m@pcbanter.net... > > Oh my God! > I don't remember what I exactly did.
