I seem to have a spyware problem on my machine. I am not able to view the
windows firewall settings. On clicking the Windows Firewall Icon in the ControlPanel I get the error message 'Windows cannot display Windows Firewall settings'. I have set my Security Center service to automatic. When the Security Center starts up and I then open the Security Center using the ControlPanel the Windows Firewall is shown as ON. After a few moments the Firewall goes from ON to OFF. Something is turning off my Windows Firewall. Does anyone have any idea what might be turning off the Windows Firewall? I have used both the Ewido securities suite and the Microsoft anti spyware beta 1 anti-spyware utilities to sweep my machine. The sweep shows the machine clean, but I still have something turning off my Windows Firewall. Norton AntiVirus is running continuously on my machine. |
