When I install SP2 on any of the XP machines in my office, I get this when I
try to run any .msi installation: The Windows Installer Service could not be accessed. This can occur if you are running Windows in safe mode, or if the Windows Installer is not correctly installed. Contact your support personnel for assistance. If I unistall SP2, the problem is fixed. I have a AD domain. Could ther be a GPO setting that is stopping the installer from running? If so, any ideas how to get rid of it? |
