this is prob a bit basic so sorry!
but I think Norton has turned off my SP2 secrity centre service. I think this is stopping me from browsing my local work group, as it also seems to turn off the internet connection sharing etc service. Can someone please tell me how to turn the security centre service back on again??? (Will Norton keep tuning it off??) -- gx |

dont bother folks - sorted.
by the way if anyone cant browse their local workgroup with Service Pack 2 and Norton both installed... Make sure the Security Centre is running (Norton may have closed it down) Start/run/services.msc and scroll to security centre. (need it to allow sharing) and set Norton firewall to LOW. NB must restart computer after re-setting Norton. Then Hey presto, browsing restored - hopefully! -- gx "gx" wrote: > this is prob a bit basic so sorry! > but I think Norton has turned off my SP2 secrity centre service.
