Default User Access Rights Problem

When I try to open my Quickbooks program I receive this error:
"Your user account for Windows was created with restricted access to system
resources. This will prevent QB from operating properly contact your system
admin to get Standard User Rights"

I have used QB basic 2003 for 2 years with no problems and the only thing to
have changed in my circumstance is that my husband recently installed QB
Premier Contractor edition for his business. We are using XP Home sp2
with separate users set up for each of us, both with administrator
accounts.

I am able to access his contractor edition from my user, and am able to
access both editions from his user.

Is there any way I can assign my user the full access to the system
resources, that it seems to be denied?

I (and other QB users) have contacted Intuit about this problem and have not
received any resolution.

Intuit are pigs. There's no other way to say it. XP has been out since
2001 and Intuit refuse to fix their code to run under a limited user
account.

You can try to find the files and/or registry entries that are in use
for the program with Systernals' free FileMon and RegMon
(http://www.systernals.com) and change the permissions on each one.

MVP Susan Bradley has documented the process here:
http://msmvps.com/bradley/archive/2005/04/23/44205.aspx

Programs that behave badly like this (and particularly Intuit because
Susan is a CPA) are one of Susan's pet peeves and you can trust her
completely.
