Hello,

I've recently installed Win XP Pro on computer A . I've added a bunch of
users accounts from the active directory domain into the local admin group of
the computer A.

Now each time someone from the local admin group using an user account from
the active directory logs on the computer and tris to launch a software, a
message telling the user he has unsufficient right to perfom the action and
should log as local admin is displayed on the screen. That means the user
who's supposed to have local admin rights does not have admin rights. To
bypass this issue the user has to log off and the to log back in. The second
times the user logs on, he has admin right sand he able to launch software.
This pain in the a** !
I've checked other locals groups to see if the users were member of more
restrictives groups but they were not.

Does anyone have an idea of what could be going on and / or what to do in
order to fix it .

Sounds like there may be a network connectivity or dns name resolution
problem finding a domain controller. Look in the application/system logs to
see if anything might be recorded to indicate that and run the support tool
netdiag on it to check foe networking and domain configuration heath. Also
double check that the computer is using only using domain controllers as
preferred dns servers in tcp/ip properties and as shown with the command
ipconfig /all. --- Steve

After trying a lot of different tricks. I eventually add a domain global
group to the Admin local group and it worked fine. But I still don't really
know what's going on....
