Default Password

I need to password protect my pc and don't have that option available, I
think all the passwords are turned off, how do I get at least one user to
have them turned back on so I can password protect.

Control Panel, User Accounts. Select your user and assign a password.

I did that, then rebooted, still came up with no password request

Click Start, Run and enter CONTROL USERPASSWORDS2 Make sure box, Users must enter username and password...... is checked.
