Running XP pro and Office Pro on standalone machine (UK). Have set up a
second user with "Power User" status to access files & applications previously run by primary user with Administrator rights. Now find I can't log-off or shut down the M'c from this second user. Only way is through Ctrl/Alt/Del. Have Imissed a setting somewhere, or what have I done wrong? I can log-off/shut-down from the primary user. Many thanks, |

Further to my original query, I find that I cannot log-off/shut-down from my
primary user either - I had to switch off the power supply to the computer in the end! Maybe this changes the reason for the problem? Thanks again. Open Local Security Policy [secpol.msc] and go to local policies/user rights
to make sure that the users you want have the user right to shut down the system. --- Steve "Jeff H." <JeffH@discussions.microsoft.com> wrote in message news:B86C5E37-560E-4E20-BAE3-53D91F62B562@microsoft.com... > Further to my original query, I find that I cannot log-off/shut-down from > my > primary user either - I had to switch off the power supply to the computer > in > the end!
