Default copy paste question

Hello ,

I am interested in windows security , I am not sure where to ask this
question so I think this is as good a place as any ... I am writing a secure
application , and I was doing research on preventing keyloggers / spyware
from picking off sensitive information ... this keylogger I use (for testing
purposes) is strong , it picks up all keys and it picks up things that are
copied and pasted ... its scary !!! ... however , there is one loophole ...
if you drag - drop info from one application to another , the keylogger does
not pick that up as something that was copied and pasted ... this is GREAT
because I have an idea how I can use that to my advantage ... can anyone tell
me why a piece of spyware is able to pick off contents of a copy paste but
not contents of a drag drop in Windows XP ??? ... i am hoping that it is
impossible to pick off a drag drop , but i have a sick feeling that they can
pick it off but they haven't thought of it
