For some reason, my automatic update will not work. The security icon
popped up saying that automatic updates had been turned off. But if I go to the security center to turn it on, I cannot click on anything. Everything is "grayed out". The box for "Turn off Automatic Updates" is checked, but grayed out as well. I can't click on anything in the automatic update box. I had to install some new printer software this afternoon that came down from my HQ. It added some entried into my registry, but I don't know what they were. Could that have caused the problem, and if so, how can I fix it? My system is Windows XP SP2, Intel Pentium M @ 1.3GHz, 512MB RAM. Thanks for the help. Michael Putnam |

Nevermind.............I found where they changed a registry setting for
automatic updates from 0 to 1. I changed it back and all is working now. Semper Fi M. Putnam |
