I have an HP 1350 all-in-one printer/scanner on a stand alone Sony VAIO
running XP Home. My partner and I both have administrator privileges and no problem printing, but the kids, who are set up as Limited Users, get a print quality that's barely readable. Plus it's blue, which eats up the cartrides. I have tried changing the kids' print quality settings and everything, but with no luck. HP says it's Microsoft's problem and I should just make everyone administrators. Can I create a path to the print drivers or something so the Limited Users can print normally? Thanks! |

You might want to post your question in a printing newsgroup such as
Microsoft.public.windowsxp.print_fax . Shame on Microsoft for not giving regular users that same powers as administrators to make code writing easier for outfits like HP. Someone at that newsgroup may no a work around. --- Steve "CTBumpkin" <CTBumpkin@discussions.microsoft.com> wrote in message news:E169F47D-0ACC-42FE-9F20-591394C4E4C6@microsoft.com... >I have an HP 1350 all-in-one printer/scanner on a stand alone Sony VAIO > running XP Home. Thanks, Steve.
I'll give that a try. Don Neel "Steven L Umbach" wrote: > You might want to post your question in a printing newsgroup such as > Microsoft.public.windowsxp.print_fax . If you're running Symantec (Norton) products it's a known issue with XP
Home. Either choose a better antivirus solution or go into the Control Panel, click on Printers & Faxes, right click on your Printer and select Properties.... click on the Advanced tab and set the printer to print direct, instead of using the spooler. -- Cari (MS-MVP) Printing & Imaging http://www.coribright.com/windows "CTBumpkin" <CTBumpkin@discussions.microsoft.com> wrote in message news:E169F47D-0ACC-42FE-9F20-591394C4E4C6@microsoft.com... >I have an HP 1350 all-in-one printer/scanner on a stand alone Sony VAIO > running XP Home.
