Default Administrator rights

How can I give someone rights = to Administrator?
Example:
I created a user called "Jo".
I made her an "Administrator".

However, When I try to install programs I get a message that said she does
not have the right's to install.

My goal is to make the user/owner of the computer to have the same rights as
Administrator.

Is this posible?
WinXP Pro.

Thank you.

Control panel, administrative tools, computer management local users &
groups - make sure she's in the Administrators group. If she is, something
else is afoot.

Hi Lanwench, thank you, that seems to fix it for her.

However, My computer does not have an user "sburke". This is what I login
as. BUT..... on the server i am in (MAG-FULL\DOMAIN ADMINS). My computers
"Administrator" user list has (MAG-FULL\DOMAIN ADMINS) in it.

Is the (MAG-FULL\DOMAIN ADMINS) where I get my authority on my local
computer??

Is there a "Security for dummies" book that I can get?
