Default Disabling, Deleting, Whatever it takes!

I can't turn off the windows firewall, it is compromising an installation and
i need it off, although the settings for the firewall report it is off, on
the security centre screen it reports it is on as always. When no other
firewall i have purchased is active the installation will still fail as a
firewall with incorrect settings is stopping it, that firewall is
microsoft's. I would like it off. Regular methods have failed. Does anyone
know how to turn it off?

Open a command prompt and type...

sc stop SharedAccess
sc config SharedAccess start= disabled

Are you absolutely sure the Windows Security Center shows that exactly
WINDOWS FIREWALL is ON.Windows Security center informs you for ANY firewall
turned ON.

It is unlike a firewall will prevent an install of a software of a good
software on a stand-alone computer.
