I have Automatic Updates set to download & install, but have not noticed any
downloading (usually I would see updates taking effect when I shut down) for
a while.

I have a dialup & wondered if the time set to check for updates" makes any
difference; I may not have the computer connected at that particular time
I've preset. Will it check for updates "whenever" I connect to internet and
how will I know it updates?
