Default Windows Firewall and Automatic Updates.

This is the fourth place in these newsgroupd that I have placed this
question. I keep being told to ask it somewhere else. So.....

Can someone tell me why (with Automatic Updates turned on) Windows Update
keeps re-enabling Windows Firewall?

Is there someway I can tell it not to?

Default Re: Windows Firewall and Automatic Updates.

Why do you think Windows Updates is enabling the Windows Firewall?? If you
really do not want to use Windows Firewall use services.msc and disable the
Windows Firewall service and stop it. You can set it to automatic at any
time if you want to use it again. --- Steve

Windows Updates do not re-enable the Service Pack 2 Windows Firewall.
