Hi,
I intalled my new ATA HDD of 160 GB Capacity.When I installed WinXP I don't
know what I did and now its not showing the Full Capacity.When i check my C:
drive,it shows only 123GB.
I tried through "big_drive_enabler"but was not succesful and WinXP SP2 shows
the same 123 GB.
Can anybody please help me to solve my problem?
Also I need a link to get "How to..." for partioning my HDD.
Is Partition Magic is a good s/w and easy?

I would appreciate if anyone replies my questions.

Use Start - Run - DISKMGMT.MSC and see what it reports for Drive 0. It
will probably tell you that it has a partition (C of 123 gb and
unallocated space of somewhere in the 20 to 30 gb range.

If that is the situation then you have several options.

1. Create a new partition (using diskmgmt) to take up the unused
space. This will be given a different drive letter and will need to
be formatted before it can be used. Once this is done you can then
use the additional drive for installing programs, storing data files
etc.

2. Enlarge the size of your existing C: partition to add the unused
space to it. This requires specialized sofware such as Partition
Magic (Symantec) or BootItNG (www.bootitng.com)

3. Create a disk backup image of your existing partition (if you have
a spare hard drive to back it up onto), delete the existing partition
and create a new one to use the full capacity of the drive then
restore your disk image backup to the new partition.
