I'm using USMT v2.6.1 to move user local profiles from XP workgroup to
an NT domain. I run scanstate as follows: scanstate \\fs1\migrate\<username> /user:<username> /I:sysfiles.inf /I:migsys.inf /I:miguser.inf /I:migapp.inf /Q /s /u /v:6 /l:c:\logs\scan.log /o /localonly Scanstate executes without errors. Loadstate also executes without any error. loadstate /u /s /MU:<username> /x /MD:<domain> /v:6 /l:c:\logs\restore-<username>.log \\fs1\migrate\<username> Outlook PST files and mail settings are migrated as expected. However, the My Documents and Favorites folders are always empty - the contents of these folders are not migrated. What am I missing? Thx Snake Oil |

Do you have folder redirection or roaming profiles enabled? Either of these
could cause this issue (folder redirection would show a different My Documents and Favorites folder after logon; roaming profiles could overwrite the restored profile when the user first logs in). -Michael Niehaus Systems Design Engineer mniehaus@microsoft.com This posting is provided "AS IS" with no warranties, and confers no rights. Digging up a couple of day's old topic, but I'm having the same issue.
Also applies to Desktop as well. The only thing that migrates are the account settings for outlook. It ran fine once, but has not run correctly since. No roaming profiles, no errors, when I try with the /compress- option, I can see the files are not getting copied over. Kevin Powers Application Analyst Goodmans LLP kpowers...@goodmans.ca |
