Hi
If you mean installing XP, please have a look at the following articles: "Introduction to Windows XP Service Pack 2" - by Barb Bowman http://www.microsoft.com/windowsxp/u...ntrotosp2.mspx "Get Your PC Ready for Windows XP SP2" http://www.microsoft.com/windowsxp/s...hattoknow.mspx -- Will Denny MS MVP Windows Shell/User Please reply to the News Groups "Yanni" <Yanni@discussions.microsoft.com> wrote in message news:FD49F1C5-342A-4C0E-B639-3A72814C25A3@microsoft.com... >I have delayed downloading XP because I have been told that I wil lose all > sorts of files. > Any suggestions on preperations for downloading XP? |

Yanni,
Who told you that you would loose all sorts of files? I would ask for specifics. WINXP SP2 adds a lot of security - which might 'break' some things that you might have customized. But that should be easily resolved. It also adds a firewall which might prevent you from reaching some things that you currently might. I would go over the links that have been provided to you and then really question whomever told you this. -- Cary W. Just a FYI, downloading usually is associated with downloading from the internet around newsgroups and forums. I believe you are asking about installing Windows XP as an upgrade to your current OS.
