I am running XP Home (OEM) on an HP desktop. Can I upgrade to XP Pro with my
XP Pro Full Retail (Blue Box, for PC's w/o Windows)? Can I be reasonably
sure that existing programs and files will emerge unscathed? Any licensing
problems? I have already made a slipstreamed SP2 installation CD in
anticipation of this upgrade. Thank You.

There should be no problems as long as the Windows XP Pro license is not
also installed on another computer.
Data should be safe, back-up important data just in case.

My XP Pro Retail has never been used. It looks like I should go ahead with
the upgrade. Thanks for your reply.
