Sysprep and Windows XP Home

There seems to be some confusion as to whether I can use sysprep with
Windows XP Home. I've seen both comments out there.

The reason why I am asking is that I am helping a non-profit set up 9 PCs.
To save time, I was hoping to get one of them in a "golden form" and image it
to the other 8. The alternative is to load up updates to all the PCs one
at-a-time.

Has anyone out there be successful at using sysprep with Windows XP home?
