In KB312965 MS says to not run loadstate on a computer that already has an
existing profile of that user. That sort of makes sense to avoid conflicts. However, I want to run loadstate after the user has installed the applications that we are migrating so that those application settings are then imported by loadstate. What do you do when you want your application settings migrated? Am I supposed to just install those applications under another user account first? Some of our apps are very user specific and I don't think that many of the HKCU settings for those apps will exist unless I install the apps under that user's profile. Thanks, -Jason |
