When you first turn on PC, all the users names are shown, and some show that
there are (eg 6) email messages waiting. How is this set up, and can I turn it off? |

Hi
Download TweakUI from http://www.microsoft.com/windowsxp/d...powertoys.mspx and when installed go to Programs>Powertoys for Windows XP>Tweak UI - then go to Logon>Unread Mail - disable it in the right hand pane. Otherwise the Unread Mail message can be disabled via the Registry - navigate to: HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Mic*rosoft\Windows\Curr entVersion\*UnreadMail\[Y*ouremailaddress] - double click on 'MessageCount' - in the right hand pane - and change the value to 0(Zero). -- Will Denny MS MVP Windows Shell/User Please reply to the News Groups "billybob" <billybob@discussions.microsoft.com> wrote in message news:9AB81F50-20E7-45EA-9A45-A638794EEA6F@microsoft.com... > When you first turn on PC, all the users names are shown, and some show > that > there are (eg 6) email messages waiting. OK Will, that sounds good, thx.
Do you know why does it only show this message for certain email accounts and not others?
