Default No Users Present on Login Page! <URGENT>

I have fired up my new laptop with Windows XP Home freshly installed. I was
prompted through the various steps to enter product code, computer name etc.
The computer was not online, so it was not registered, but planned to do it
afterwards. After inputting all required information, the logon screen
appeared with no users present! The only icom available to be is to turn off,
standy by or restart.

This is a gift and I despareately need to resolve tonight if possible. Any
syggestions would be appreciated. I would prefer to to re-install windows and
all drivers etc.

Thanks

Try pressing Cont-Alt-Delete twice. You should then get the normal Windows
Login dialog box.

i had a similar problem yesterday installing XP Pro, but even after trying
CTRL ALT DEL, there was no users there, whuilst going through setup, i wasnt
given the usual option of timezones, or anything, and wasnt given a choice of
adding a user. i had to bight the bullet and format the drive because i
couldn't access windows at all. I tried a password program to try and add a
user and password from ntfsdos, but to no avail. I wonder if anyone has had
this happen to them ?
