Default Can I download an OS?

Hi; I have a computer that originally came with Windows Millennium,
later was upgraded to Windows XP and after that had an accident and the
Millennium CD was broken, now I’d like to re-install Windows Millennium
in another partition, I have the Millennium Key but don’t have the CD,
is there a way I can download the OS from Microsoft or somewhere else?
or what would you advice me to do?

Thanks for your time.

No, you cannot download WinME anywhere (at least not legally). However, you
could call Microsoft and tell them about your CD breaking. They may provide
a replacement CD.
You may try Microsoft at: 1 800 642-7676

If you have proof of purchase (and that means it was a retail CD - not one
that came with the computer in question) - then MAYBE Microsoft would get
you a new one. Otherwise - borrow one from a friend (who also got stuck
with Windows ME - God help them) and burn a copy... Use your CD Key and away
you go.
