Dell fiasco!!! IMMEDIATE HELP REQUIRED!!!

Hi ppl
I am running xp home edition and want to format my hard drive and reinstall
it again.I am running a Dell 1100 Dimension.
Please tell me how to format and reinstall xp home edition and also how to
install the drivers and when to install the drivers.
Immediate help is required plz reply

Put the XP CD in the optical drive, restart the PC and when it asks if you
wish to boot from the optical drive, the answer is YES. From then on, it's
simply a matter of following the onscreen instructions, formatting the
current hard drive, repartitioning it (even if it's a single partition) and
then installing XP.

Are you sure you need to reinstall it? With XP there are usually other
options.
